The NC State Wolfpack nearly pulled off the most stunning upset of the college football season thus far this past Saturday when they took the Florida State Seminoles to the brink. Up 24-7 at the end of the first quarter, it ultimately slipped away from them, with the defending champs escaping Raleigh with the win.

Well after the game, second-year coach Dave Doeren took a pretty stiff shot at FSU, accusing them of faking injuries to slow down the fast-paced attack of quarterback Jacoby Brissett and the rest of the Wolfpack offense.
In his press conference on Monday, Seminoles head coach Jimbo Fisher took a shot right back at Doeren when asked about the matter, stating that maybe he doesn’t know about football.
However, all of this is soon to be water under the bridge, as Doeren has issued an apology to Fisher and the Seminoles for insinuating that they may have been taking some dives.
From @StateCoachD: "I have apologized to Jimbo Fisher & want to apologize to his staff, players & FSU fans for my comments ..."

Classy move by Doeren to at least apologize, but you could certainly understand the frustration. He came oh-so-close to grabbing his first monumental win as the head coach of the Wolfpack and it slipped away from him.
