Their new black and pink limited time jersey is to support breast cancer awareness and the Kay Yow Cancer Fund started after former North Carolina State University head women’s basketball coach Kay Yow was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 1987 before succumbing to the disease on Jan. 24, 2009.

More on the slick “United We Fight” jerseys can be found here on Nike.
The team will sport the new jersey’s in their Oct. 2 home game against Arizona. October is the National Breast Cancer Awareness month and teams have been adding pink to their uniforms in the last half decade to show their support. Last year, Oregon wore pink football helmets, but this year they’ve created a whole new uniform.
“Cancer has affected so many lives and we are honored to again partner with Nike and the Kay Yow Cancer Fund to create awareness in the united fight against all cancers,” Oregon football head coach Mark Helfrich said in the statement released by Nike.
With the help of Nike, the Oregon Ducks are raising awareness to a disease that effects 1 in 8 women.
The Ducks are 4-0 and will look to take their pink and black jerseys into Thursday’s game against Arizona and get a big win.
