Tigers vs Orioles live stream information
Both the Detroit Tigers and the Baltimore Orioles boast impressive pitching staffs. There is one primary difference, however, in that the Tigers are strong in the starting rotation while the Orioles are strong in the bullpen. That’s not to say that the Orioles do not also have quality starters, but they do not have the aces that the Tigers do.
“Pitching. That’s what wins ballgames,” Tigers’ ace David Price said of playoff baseball, via ESPN.com. “If we put up zeroes early, that kind of gives our offense a chance to kind of settle into the game. They know they don’t have to put up a three- or four-spot because we’re down.”
That also helps the Tigers stay away from putting too much pressure on their bullpen, a unit which has been suspect at best this season. Meanwhile the Orioles have a thumping lineup that can wear out elite starters, something they will hope carries over into the 2014 playoffs.
Max Scherzer will start for the Tigers against Chris Tillman for the Orioles.
