Arizona Cardinals at Denver Broncos

My brain says that with Carson Palmer still banged up and the game being in Denver the Broncos should be able to handle this one with no problems. My gut, however, says that this is a trap game for Denver. Drew Stanton has played well and their defense is “sneaky” good. In the end I decided that if Peyton Manning and the gang can almost beat the Seahawks in Seattle then the Broncos should be able to take care of business and pull off a win here, but this game would scare me if I was a Denver fan.

Kansas City Chiefs at San Francisco 49ers

I am REALLY conflicted with this game. As a die hard Chiefs fan I’m convinced that the Chiefs can pull off another upset victory this week in San Francisco. While I still believe they can, if I’m trying to be objective it looks like the 49ers second ranked run defense should help control the line of scrimmage and slow down the talented KC rushing attack. In the end, the 49ers will try to put this game entirely in Alex Smith’s hands as he returns to face the team that drafted him. My heart says KC pulls off the win, but my head says the 49ers will defend their home turf in an incredibly close and hard fought game. I’ll go with my head over my heart for my official pick, but I’ll be hoping like crazy on Sunday that I’m wrong.
