By Josh Hill
Paul Milsap is an impact player for the Atlanta Hawks. Milsap will be a free agent at the end of the season. Will he be re-signed by the team?
The Atlanta Hawks are a team who made the playoffs last season despite there being many reasons they shouldn’t have. Still, the team nearly upset the No. 1 seeded Indiana Pacers which has them lusting for the postseason in 2014-15.

It’s more than just this season that the Atlanta Hawks want to improve and be contenders, and that means working on contracts. Their best player is arguably Paul Milsap and it’s come time to either re-sign him or find something else to do with him.
According to Chris Vivlamore of the Atlanta Journal Constitution, the Hawks are very interested in making sure Paul Milsap returns next season.
"“We want to keep him,” coach Mike Budenholzer said. “He is someone who is really important to us. He fits us very well. We’ve communicated that with him on a regular basis.”"
Milsap is a veteran the Hawks need, especially as they continue to craft a unit with plenty of youth. Atlanta may not have the strongest roster, but they have one of the better veteran leaders in the NBA. You’re only as good as the veterans who lead you, and Atlanta Hawks knows that Milsap is someone they need to lock up.
