Carmelo Anthony made news recently for proclaiming himself the NBA’s most underrated superstar. Many disagreed with the assessment and Carmelo Anthony caught some heat for it.

However, Carmelo Anthony is now clarifying his comments and wants it to be known that he doesn’t actually believe himself to be underrated.
From the New York Post:
"“I don’t feel like that,’’ Anthony said. “I think it was the way the course of the conversation was going. They took it and ran with it. It’s not something — I don’t get into that. I’ll let you guys write about if I’m underrated or not. I know what I can do on the basketball court. I know what I can get better at. But as self-proclaiming as me being underrated, it’s out of my league.’’"
It’s probably best for Carmelo Anthony to do what he did and take back his initial comments. He’s never won a title or even been to the NBA Finals, so calling himself underrated was not something that was going to resonate well with sports fans.
Carmelo Anthony averaged 27.4 points, 8.1 rebounds and 3.1 assists this past season.
