The Minnesota Vikings are not having a very nice Thursday night. The Green Bay Packers are absolutely bludgeoning them in a nationally televised game. As if that weren’t enough, Cordarrelle Patterson was forced to leave this game with a hip injury.

The electric wide receiver has been off to a slow start this season. Even before he got hurt, Thursday did little to set his season on the right track. Patterson had just two receptions for eight yards in this game before he exited with the hip injury.

Minnesota officially listed Patterson as questionable to return, though he only played limited snaps after the injury and was a non-factor.

This only extends the frustration for Patterson this season, not to mention his owners in fantasy football. Let’s just say that the Patterson venom on Twitter on a night like tonight is NSFW (not safe for work). Quite frankly, it probably isn’t safe for common decency or people who have a soul, either.

Through five weeks of football, Patterson has 13 receptions for 181 yards. He also has 95 yards rushing with a touchdown.

The Vikings will leave Green Bay with a 2-3 record. One of the key questions for them will be what the future holds for Patterson, both in terms of his health and how they plan to use him moving forward.
