Julius Peppers returns 49-yard interception for TD (GIF)

The Green Bay Packers are now leading the Minnesota Vikings 21-0 thanks to a 49-yard interception return by first-year Packer Julius Peppers. When the Packers signed Peppers this offseason, most NFC North fans laughed and said that Green Bay overpaid for an old player that was on the decline. Take a look at this video and look how old Peppers is and how much he has declined.
Obviously the Packers are very happy with the addition of Peppers at this point in time, and are having the last laugh. Peppers didn’t look too old out-running every single player on the field to the corner of the end zone. That was also Peppers’ first chance at a Lambeau Leap as Ian Rapoport pointed out on Twitter.

This game could not be getting any better for the Packers, and they look to be headed to a 3-2 record. It’s very obvious that the defense has improved a bit from last season, and the playmaking ability has been impressive early on this season and especially in this game. Christian Ponder isn’t helping his career with this type of outing.
