San Francisco Giants: Buster Posey
As the catcher and de facto captain of the San Francisco Giants, Buster Posey is responsible for overseeing the defense and keeping the club productive–what’s more important than that?
The 27-year-old Posey leads the Giants in batting average (.311), home runs (22), RBI (89) and on base percentage (.364) and has been instrumental in San Francisco’s World Series championships in 2010 and 2012.
Posey has led a Giants offense that ranked in the top 10 in batting average during the regular season, which is a plus for San Francisco, considering its starting pitching staff ranked 16th in ERA.
ESPN Stats & Info helps to highlight how clutch Posey was for his Giants down the stretch.
It’ll be a real treat for true baseball fans watching Posey try and lead San Francisco to a third World Series title in five seasons.
