Seattle Seahawks’ Richard Sherman, Earl Thomas & Kam Chancellor

This trio beat up the Manning and the two Thomases in last year’s Super Bowl and Week 3 of this season. They comprise the Legion of Boom — a secondary with so much swagger and talent that we’ll be telling our kids about them.

Earl Thomas is the kind of ballhawk and center fielder that defensive coordinators dream for and offensive coordinators have nightmares about. He’s a dynamic threat whose instincts and athleticism can’t be matched.

Kam Chancellor is the hammer. Thomas is the dash but Chancellor is the smash. He shows time and time again, how to deliver the boom! Both Chancellor and Thomas have a pick this year.

And the man who ties it all together, Richard Sherman. He’s like a goalie in soccer, racking up clean sheets on wide receivers. He’s an absolute menace. Quarterbacks can pretend that they don’t avoid Sherman, but they do. They’re scared. And who wouldn’t be? He’s 6-foot-3 and agile like a cat. And if you make one mistake, he’ll exploit it — then, he’ll remind you about it on national media afterwards.

This secondary is the best in football. This trio is a triumvirate.
