Report: Teddy Bridgewater could be out Thursday night vs. Packers
Teddy Bridgewater will not play Thursday night vs. Packers
In just under eight hours, the Minnesota Vikings will hit Lambeau Field to take on the Green Bay Packers. The team has already landed in the middle of nowhere, but there is still one looming question that has yet to be answered. Who will be under center for the Vikings when the game kicks off, because it won’t be Teddy Bridgewater.

Unfortunately for Vikings fans, star rookie QB Teddy Bridgewater is trending the wrong direction. He suffered an ankle sprain on Sunday during a win over the Falcons, but the short week is definitely not working in his favor. Despite an MRI that revealed no structural damage, and Mike Zimmer mentioning Teddy looked to be doing better, he may still not play:
Obviously Adam Schefter is typically pretty plugged in, as is Goessling. That being said, there have been conflicting reports all week. Bridgewater looked able to come back in the game Sunday, had the situation dictated as such.
If Teddy is unable to go, the Vikings would turn the ball over to their previously inactive, and former first-round pick, Christian Ponder. Ponder has played against the Packers multiple times in his career thus far, but possibly the most notable was the game in which he didn’t play.
Despite coming around at the end of the 2013 season, Ponder was unable to play against the Packers at Lambeau to kick off the 2013 playoffs. Joe Webb made the start and the Vikings ended up falling 24-10.
Look for the decision on Teddy Bridgewater’s availability to be announced right around game time.
