For fans of both teams, both home and away games are circled on calendars every single season, and the rivalry is heated. However, the Vikings may be without their starting quarterback, Teddy Bridgewater. The situation just got a little bit clearer though.
Aj Mansour of Minneapolis radio station KFAN is reporting that the Vikings have purchased the contract of Chandler Harnish for tonight’s game in Green Bay. Harnish was signed to the Vikings practice squad earlier this week.
The report would suggest serious doubt in Teddy Bridgewater’s availability to play, however, Mansour offers the following:
The #Vikings have signed QB Chandler Harnish off the practice quad for tonight’s game in GB.

The signing of Harnish DOES NOT necessarily mean Teddy is out. I’m told he will have a workout 90 min before kickoff to see if he can go.

If Teddy is cleared he starts. If not cleared, he’s deactivated. Then it would be Ponder into Harnish for QB depth. #Vikings

So there you have it folks, we get more clarity, but things are going to be up in the air until about an hour before kickoff. The workout will be some of Bridgewater’s first football movements since Sunday’s victory, and will come in sloppy conditions at Green Bay.
Local media seems to be torn as to what the outcome of the decision will be, but for the sake of an exciting game, here’s to hoping Teddy is good to go.
