Brock Lesnar not appearing for WWE the rest of 2014?

Brock Lesnar not returning until 2015?

Although there are a lot of people that are annoyed by this, the fact of the matter is that we know Brock Lesnar will not be around all that often. Despite being the WWE World Heavyweight Champion at the moment, his contract limits the number of dates that he can work throughout the year.

But, was his win at Night of Champions his last appearance for the company as champ for the rest of 2014?

It very well might have been. According to a report from Wrestling Rumors, Brock Lesnar is not advertised for any event for the rest of the 2014 calendar year.

"However, it does not appear that Lesnar will be working a substantial amount of added dates. In fact, as of this writing, Lesnar is not advertised for any pay-per-view, “Monday Night Raw,” or “Smackdown” through 2014. Though, as always, WWE’s advertisements will likely add more Superstars as the date for the event nears. Lesnar, being a big attraction, typically has his dates advertised well in advance, so he may indeed not be added to any more events in 2014."

This could be both good and bad.

Of course, with Brock Lesnar being away, other talent on the roster gets the chance to shine in the spotlight. They get the opportunity to build themselves up in front of the live crowd, maybe even getting themselves a title shot down the road against the Beast when he does return.

But, in the end, it’s a real risk to keep your champ off of TV for that long. While it’s nice to let some of the other guys have the spotlight, the fact of the matter is that people like to see their champ every once in a while.
