Chicago Bulls star Derrick Rose is returning this season and the roster looks as though it will be loaded for a run at an NBA Finals appearance.

The Chicago Bulls are entering this upcoming season with a giant chip on their shoulder, as it seems almost as though time froze after the 2011 season and things are only now getting going again. Derrick Rose has missed mostly all of the last two seasons, there has been roster turnover, cost-cutting and all sorts of other messes in Chicago.

But the good times seem to be here again, as the team is looking to compete hard in 2014-14 and make a serious run at returning an NBA title to the Windy City.

According to Joel Bringham from Basketball Insiders, the Chicago Bulls may have lost pieces in the offseason but they’re coming into the year loaded with talent.

"Snell was pretty good last year, and nobody is questioning Dunleavey’s effectiveness. I think the additions of Gasol, Mirotic, Brooks and McDermott offset the loss of Augustin and Deng. Chicago is loaded. They’ll be fine."

This is encouraging for the Bulls, as with Derrick Rose coming back and pieces being retained, the team has the feel of the 2011 squad that reached the Conference Finals. Again, like that year, it appears the Bulls will be poised to meet LeBron James and this time they seem as ready as ever.
