The Jersey Report compiles data from the sales of jersey at Dick’s Sporting Goods stores around the country and online and learns about the trends of fans. They’ve noticed a particular trend in New Jersey, which doesn’t have an NFL team that labels it as a location but has two NFL franchises playing in their home state.

The New York Giants and the New York Jets call East Rutherford, New Jersey home. On the south end of the state their is the Philadelphia market with the Eagles. Despite three franchises having their fan base’s footprint in the state, the Jersey Report has learned that the Giants take the state.
The Eagles trail the Giants early 25 percent, and the Jets trail their in-stadium rivals by more than 66 percent. Three of the top six selling jerseys in the state are all Giants players.
- Victor Cruz
- LeSean McCoy
- Eli Manning
- Nick Foles
- Geno Smith
- Jason Pierre-Paul
Oddly the Giants aren’t the most popular team in New York though, that distinction goes to the Buffalo Bills. The Giants are also incredibly popular in Connecticut though. Manning and Cruz have the top two selling jerseys in the stats, and Manning accounts for 19 percent of jersey sales in the whole state.
