If you’ve paid attention to the Kentucky basketball program lately you’ll notice a certain championship coach in Lexington, John Calipari, has more than gotten his groove back. In the past few days the summer of “Swaggy Cal” has continued into fall. We’ve seen Calipari itroduce his new platoon system that will be used during the season, we’ve seen him talk about just how special this year’s Cats could be and we saw him get Antonio Blakeney on campus for Big Blue Madness, one of Kentucky’s biggest recruiting days of the year.

Another thing we’ve seen from Calipari this off season is the impressive list of celebrity friends he has rolled through the Kentucky facilities from Drake, to Irv Gotti, to John Cena. Well you can add Clippers’ coach Doc Rivers to that list, Rivers and his coaching staff made a stop in Lexington after Calipari made a recruiting trip to see 5-star big man Stephen Zimmerman.
Calipari posted this message on his Facebook page after meeting with Rivers:
"“The staff and I met with Doc Rivers and his staff this morning to pick his brain about some things and talk about the challenges we will face this season. We really got a lot out of the meeting. Doc has an all-star staff. Thanks to Doc, Armond, Brendan, Lawrence, Woody and Sam.”"
You may remember a few years back that Doc visited UK with his son Austin, who was being recruited by Calipari. Apparently the two coaches have kept in touch since then from the looks of things.
