Los Angeles Dodgers ownership transferred from Brooklyn to L.A. almost 60 years ago and now another sports franchise from the burrough could be sold out west again.

The Brooklyn Nets haven’t even been in Brooklyn for more than a few years and already the team is looking to be sold by its current owner. While the world was falling asleep watching the Packers-Vikings game on thusday night, Los Angeles Dodgers Chairman and Guggenheim CEO Mark Walter was talking about rumors that he was interested in buying the Nets in the near future.

More from Brooklyn Nets

According to Ohm Youngmisuk and Darren Rovell of ESPN.com, Walters isn’t saying he’s not interested in buying the Nets, he just as limits to said interest. In the interview, the Dodgers owner stated he’s not going to give up his current team to buy another, but would be open to looking into investing in a new ownership group.

"“I am the controlling owner of the Dodgers and I have no intention of selling the Dodgers or moving them into a new ownership group. They are a terrific franchise and I would be happy to look at their information and any proposal anyone wanted to make to me — as I would with any proposal.”"

This isn’t really much of a confirmation as it is Walters just doing business as any business man would. There’s obviously going to be an interest in owning another sports franchise, especially when it would give Walters control on both coasts.

His interest though seems to be thin at the moment, but he’s not closing the door to letting things thicken up into an offer to buy the Nets.
