4. Chicago Bulls- 55.5 wins

2013-14 Record: 48-34

With the return of Derrick Rose and addition of Pau Gasol, Doug McDermott, Nikola Mirotic, and Aaron Brooks, who knows how good the Bulls could be this season?

Why you should take the Over:

On paper, the Bulls might be the best team in the league. Add Rose, Gasol, and McDermott alone to a 48-win team from a season ago, and you have to assume they’ll add at least ten wins, right? Ten seems like a safe number, and they could be worth even more than that, possibly an NBA championship, if Rose gets back to playing like the 2011 MVP.

It’s almost impossible to imagine a scenario in which the Bulls don’t win over 55 games, especially after watching Rose’s performance in the FIBA World Cup. Statistically, Rose didn’t blow away the competition, but the way he moved and got up and down the court, showed he’s healthy. I can’t help but be excited to see him back in the NBA this season.

Why you should take the Under:

On the other hand, Rose has missed nearly two full season because of knee injuries and has yet to prove he’s capable of staying on the court. Until Rose proves he can be a productive player AND stay on the court, can anyone realistically assume the Bulls will win 56 games? Probably not…

I’m not even taking my own advice, and I’m taking the over on the Bulls. I’ll be shocked if they don’t win 60 games.
