3. San Antonio Spurs- 56.5 wins

2013-14 Record: 62-20

Just another typical Spurs’ season.

Why you should take the Over:

The Spurs won 62 games last season and had enough fire power to get their stars the proper rest to make another title run. In the playoffs last season, the Spurs were playing the most unselfish, fastest basketball I’ve ever seen in my entire life. The ball movement, especially in the Finals, was so incredible. If the Spurs bring that energy and will to the court next season, there’s not a team in the league that can compete with them.

Why you should take the Under:

It’s no secret; the Spurs are pretty old. After two straight runs to the NBA Finals, will the Spurs have the motivation to do what it takes to defend the crown? On paper, the Spurs are the best team in the league, but can they survive the haymakers that the Grizzlies, Clippers, and Thunder are prepared to throw at them this season? If they aren’t, if there’s a championship hangover, the Spurs might lose that edge that made them unbeatable this season.

I’ll take the over on the Spurs, but there’s a chance there’s some regression after all those miles accumulated in the Finals.
