Tim Hardway could become the Knicks’ starting shooting guard
Although he got off to a bit of a slow start, New York Knicks’ guard Tim Hardway had a solid rookie season.

Many have speculated that the scoring punch and shooting Hardaway could potentially make him a member of the starting lineup. Most figure that Iman Shumpert’s defense may give him a leg up to start with J.R. Smith, a former Sixth Man of the Year Winner, providing instant offense off of the bench.
However, Joel Brigham of Basketball Insiders could see Tim Hardaway as the Knicks’ starting shooting guard next season.
"Ask almost-Knicks coach Steve Kerr how friendly the triangle offense can be for spot-up shooters. In a little over 20 minutes a game last season Hardaway averaged double digits in points for a team that really wasn’t all that impressive offensively. This year, with what should be a larger role and in an offense tailored to his skill set, Hardaway could easily pass up J.R Smith and Iman Shumpert as New York’s best option at shooting guard."
Tim Hardaway should have a bigger role but it would be somewhat of a surprise if he were in the starting five.
Tim Hardaway averaged 10.2 points and 1.5 rebounds per game while shooting 42.8% from the field, 36.3% from three and 82.8% from the charity stripe last season.
