The Washington Nationals were one out away from tying up their series against the San Francisco Giants at 1-1. Pablo Sandoval, though, had other plans.

Sandoval took the ball the other way and drove in the tying run,  and almost the game winning run with a two out, cold-blooded RBI double. The controversy from there came with the play at the plate.

Buster Posey was called out on the play, and after looking at the replay, it looked as if the call would be overturned and the Giants would have the lead. After further review, Posey was still called out on a bang-bang play.

Hall of Famer Frank Thomas was among many others who believed that Posey was safe. Watch this funny video of Thomas reacting to the play in live action.

The adamant Thomas disagreed with the umpire’s call right away and he believed that Posey beat the tag and reached home plate in time to give the Giants the lead. Even after looking at the play on replay, the umpires believed that Posey was out, and in result, this game went to extra innings.
