Stanford had Notre Dame on the ropes late in the game, leading 14-10. Notre Dame had driven down to the 23 yard line and were facing a fourth-and-11, things looking highly unlikely for the Fighting Irish.
Everett Golson got the snap and took his time in the backfield while tight end Ben Koyack found a patch of empty field in the corner of the end zone. Golson found Koyack and threw a strike before the secondary could close the gap, Koyack held on to the ball, keeping his feet in-bounds for the game-winning touchdown.
With all the shake up in the Top-5 with No. 2 Oregon and No. 3 Alabama being upset, and No. 4 Oklahoma on the verge of being upset it looks like Notre Dame could be moving up the rankings.
