Peyton Manning one TD shy of 500
By Jordan Pink
Broncos’ Peyton Manning will almost certainly throw his 500th touchdown against Bruce Arians and the Cardinals Sunday
Peyton Manning, 38, currently sits at 499 touchdowns, just one shy of a milestone only Brett Favre has reached. Peyton Manning also sits just nine touchdowns behind Favre’s 508, which is the most in NFL history.

He has a chance to reach the 500 mark on sunday against the Arizona Cardinals (3-0), who currently employ two familiar faces for Peyton Manning – Cardinals coach Bruce Arians and offensive coordinator Tom Moore. Arians was Manning’s quarterback coach when Peyton Manning first entered the league. Moore, on the other hand, was Peyton Manning’s offensive coordinator during his entire 13 year stint with Indianapolis. Throwing the milestone touchdown against a coaching duo that knows him so well would certainly be sweet.
It is amazing that Peyton Manning continues to break records at 38 years of age and on the tail end multiple neck surgeries in 2011/2012. Just last season, Peyton Manning broke both the single season touchdown record (55) and the single season passing yards record (5,477). He also led his team to a Super Bowl appearance.
Should Peyton Manning stay healthy he will surely break Favre’s record and will likely go on to further his legendary legacy.
