Kyle Orton went from temporarily being retired to throwing pick-sixes for the Buffalo Bills within a matter of months.
The Buffalo Bills rolled out onto the field in Week 5 for a meeting with Detroit Lions. Their quarterback for the game was Kyle Orton.
As you would probably expect, Orton wasn’t really up for the task of returning to the starting lineup of a NFL team just months after leaving the Dallas Cowboys for a brief retirement, and he quickly reminded us of that with a brutal pick-six that put the Lions up 14-0.
Here is video of Kyle Orton being Kyle Orton.
That is what the Buffalo Bills benched a former first-round pick for.
The good news for the Buffalo Bills? They could find themselves in a strong position to draft Marcus Mariota out of Oregon or Florida State’s Jameis Winston if they decide to stick with Orton for the remainder of the season.
