Michigan State escaped a scare from Nebraska with a late INT
This Saturday has been the craziest days of the college football season so far. Actually, it has been one of the craziest single days of college football in the last few years. With a few of the top teams falling this weekend, it seemed that the defending national champion Michigan State Spartans were next in line, after being up big against Nebraska.

Heading into the fourth quarter, Michigan State was up big, 27-3, and seemed as if they were going to cruise their way to a win over the undefeated Huskers. Well, that was until Nebraska fired back.
The Cornhuskers pulled to within 27-22 with about three minutes to go in the game when De’Mornay Pierson-El returned a punt 62 yards to the house. After stopping Michigan State following a missed field goal attempt, Tommie Armstrong was leading the offense down the field and it appeared as if we would be getting another shocking finish.
However, Michigan State made sure that would not be the case.
You do have to give Nebraska a lot of credit for not folding in this one, but in the end, Sparty survived.
