Forward. USC. Taj Gibson. 11. player. 147.
I was surprised to see that Gibson was selected in the 2009 NBA Draft. He seems much closer in age to a NBA veteran, like Carlos Boozer, than to a young gun like Jimmy Butler. But Gibson went to Chicago with the 26th overall pick in 2009. Gibson has been an excellent back up big man during his five season in Chicago. Last season, he averaged a career high 13 points and finished second in the NBA’s sixth man of the year award. I think the Nets would welcome Gibson’s blue collar attitude and healthy, young legs to their team. The Nets originally picked Terrance Williams with this pick.

Milwaukee got this pick right. The team selected Brandon Jennings out of Compton, California. Jennings famously didn’t go to college, instead electing to go play overseas before being selected with the 10th overall pick in 2009. Jennings played four seasons with the Bucks, averaging a career high 19.1 points in 2011-12. Now, he is playing up in Detroit for the Pistons. Even though the last few years having gone that well for the Bucks, I think they pick Brandon Jennings again in a heartbeat considering who is on the board.
. Guard. Compton, California.
