Now it looks like those rumors gained a dose of validity with Stone Cold Steve Austin confirming the rumors by saying he is getting back in shape for a possible comeback on his “Steve Austin Show” podcast.

From SE Scoops:

"During the episode of his show with former wrestler and bodybuilder Ric Drason, Austin casually said, “I’m trying to get back into shape for a comeback.”While he didn’t elaborate, it has been rumored and reported here in the recent past that “The Rattlesnake” is training hard for a possible return at an upcoming WrestleMania pay-per-view."

The timing of this report, in October, suggests that he could be hinting at a return to WrestleMania 31. If it takes him three months to get to into shape that would put his return at January, when the Royal Rumble is hosted and the Road to WrestleMania begins.

In a recent interview with Wade Keller, Stone Cold Steve Austin said that WrestleMania 31, hosted at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California, is just down the road from him. He also talked about WrestleMania 32 in Dallas, Texas being an intriguing option.

“I’ll reserve my right to, if I want to have a match down the road and I see…” Stone Cold says before switching gears. “Okay, say like Dallas, Texas is going to be [WrestleMania] 32 correct?”

“Now Dallas, that could be very special, going back to Texas for 32,” Austin continues. “They’re going to need a loaded card to fill that house. So I’ll reserve my right, but am I pushing, pandering, selling, promoting? Nothing?”
