Andre Miller says he’s not ready to retire from NBA
By Josh Hill
Andre Miller has been around the NBA since his rookie season in 1999-00, but he’s not yet ready to call it a career.
Washington Wizards veteran point guard Andre Miller has been around the NBA for over a decade and has plenty of mileage on his body. But there is still tread left, as the veteran isn’t ready to yet call it a career and plans on playing not only this season but seasons in the future.

Miller told J. Michael of CSNWashington.com that he’s not ready to say this will be his last season in the NBA.
"“I will. I feel good. If I didn’t feel good I’d say this would be the last year,” said Miller, who was acquired from the Denver Nuggets in a Feb. 20 trade and will play his first preseason game tonight at the Chicago Bulls (CSN, 8 p.m. ET). “I’ve done a good job in training camp, taking care of my body during the summer and keeping up with the younger guys so will see where we’re at towards the end of the season.”"
This is good news for the Wizards, as they’re putting together a team that is a perfect blend of young talent and veteran wisdom. With Miller coming over last year, the team made the postseason for the first time in forever and almost knocked off the Indiana Pacers to make it to the Conference Finals.
It wasn’t meant to be last year, but the Wizards made additions in the form of Paul Pierce and others to ensure that this team doesn’t come up shirt again and makes it as deep into the postseason as possible — and possibly a little further.
