Arizona Cardinals’ quarterback Carson Palmer is still trying to recover from his shoulder injury
Carson Palmer remained in Denver after watching the Arizona Cardinals lose to the Broncos 41-20 in order to resume treatment on his injured shoulder. Palmer was able to make some warm-up throws before the game, but was unable to go any further as Drew Stanton started once again, only to leave the game with a concussion.

Despite his continued absence, Palmer was optimistic after the game that he’s on the right track.
“It felt good and I’ll continue to ramp that up each day this upcoming week,” Palmer said per ESPN.
The Cardinals won’t practice until Wednesday, but Palmer plans to be back in Arizona before then. He’d visited a doctor via assistance from Peyton Manning, who consulted the same specialists for issues with nerves in his neck.
“I’ll continue to do all the treatment and do everything in my power to get it ready to go,” Palmer said.
The Cardinals are hoping Palmer will be ready sooner rather than later as the quarterback position is a major question mark with the top two on the depth chart currently out with injury.
Logan Thomas played in relief of Stanton and completed one of eight pass attempts. That one completion? An 81-yard touchdown pass-and-run to Andre Ellington. It’s safe to say the Cardinals won’t be able to count on such luck in the future unless Palmer returns.
