Brooklyn Nets point guard Deron Williams is hoping to bounce back and have a successful season this year coming off of surgery on both of his ankles. Williams hasn’t been the same guy that the Nets were hoping they would get when they acquired Williams from Utah in exchange for Derrick Favors, Devin Harris and draft picks.

Williams looks good in practice so far and he will look to stay healthy and have an effective season and reassert himself back into the discussion among the best point guards in the NBA. According to Williams another lockout, or in his words ‘work stoppage,’ will take place soon. In 2011 the NBA had a lockout and during that time frame, Williams played basketball in Turkey with a team called Beskitas. Williams expects to see another lockout by 2017.

So, it is looking more and more likely that there will be another lockout in 2017, hopefully it doesn’t last as long as the one in 2011 did. The lockout in 2011 caused a shortened season and when basketball games have to be taken away that is never a good sign.
