Kenbrell Thompkins went undrafted in 2013 but made the Patriots’ roster and was solid, even making the game-winning catch in a win over the New Orleans Saints last season.
However, with Aaron Dobson once again active and the Patriots clearly looking to get tight end Tim Wright more involved in the offense, Kenbrell Thompkins’ shouldn’t have been a big surprise.
Jeff Howe of The Boston Herald sees Kenbrell Thompkins as a potential fit for the Pittsburgh Steelers.
No idea what the future holds for Kenbrell Thompkins, but I think the Steelers would be a nice fit. Antonio Brown is KT's cousin and mentor.

The note that Antonio Brown is Kenbrell Thompkins’ mentor and cousin is certainly interesting and if the Steelers do show interest, Antonio Brown vouching for him could go a long way.
