The University of North Carolina is synonymous with basketball greatness. Roy Williams and his team has long been a proving grounds or stepping stone for future NBA superstars. This season, it is going to be on big man, Kennedy Meeks, to lead the Tar Heels back to title contention. First however, he needs to get something off of his chest.

Yes, Kennedy Meeks will always love you.
During North Carolina’s annual Late Night With Roy, Midnight Madness style event, Meeks to center stage to show off one of his other talents. As an ode to fans, players typically showcase themselves in a realm other than basketball during the annual event.
Meeks decided to pay tribute to Whitney Houston as he lip synced her “I Will Always Love You.” While it appears that Meeks has an incredible grasp of the lyrics despite not singing them, his passion can’t be ignored either.
As he breaks out into the chorus, and as Whitney really shows off her vocal prowess, Meeks hits his knees as he give the North Carolina faithful everything he’s got.
While the lip syncing rendition of Houston’s calling card may fool you, make sure to pump your breaks. Meeks can be seen donning a huge smile throughout the entire performance, and while he may appear to be a big teddy bear with the mic, he’s a force on the block.
Meeks will look to expand upon career highs across the board from last season, and carve out a place as one of the best players the North Carolina Tar Heels have seen in a long time. Despite slimming down some from last season, Meeks is still a much more formidable opponent on the block than the likes of the recently depart James Michael McAdoo was.
Look for Kennedy Meeks to have a great season, and potentially lock up a spot with a late night talk show host to showcase his off the court talents.
