Tennessee Titans unsure of Jake Locker’s status for Week 6
By Josh Hill
Tennessee Titans quarterback Jake Locker was beat up bad on Sunday against the Browns, and his status this week is in doubt.
Jake Locker was supposed to be the future at quarterback for the Tennessee Titans but that has hardly panned out in such a fashion. He’s been inaccurate, unhealthy and disappointing so far in his tenure with the Titans and he just can’t seem to catch a break.

A break was the thing the Titans wanted to think about on Monday though, as Locker’s hand was evaluated following a hit he took in Sunday’s shocking loss to the Cleveland Browns. Thankfully there didn’t seem to be any structural damage, but Locker still doesn’t seem to be in playing shape this week.
Terry McCormick reports that while it’s good nothing it structurally wrong, that hardly means Locker will play in Week 6.
This seems to be the story of Locker’s career. The Titans were winning, he was leading the way and then bad things started to happen. Not only did the team lose Locker, they lost the game and are starting to lose hope this year.
Locker’s future with the Titans was already in doubt entering the season, and his inability to stay healthy has been banging nails in his coffin for years. Jason La Cafora reported yesterday that Tennessee is already leaning towards transition into the Zach Mettenberger era this season, and this hand injury for Locker may be the break someone else on the team was looking for to get their shot as an NFL quarterback.
