Adrian Peterson’s arraignment has been set

Adrian Peterson has been indicted on child abuse charges for disciplinary actions he took against his young child. The case has been ongoing since this summer and has been very fluid. However, we now stand at a point where clarity starts to come into play. Peterson is set to be arraigned Wednesday, and details are starting to emerge.

More from Minnesota Vikings

As Adrian Peterson sets foot in a Montgomery Country court room on Wednesday, he will begin to find out his fate as it regards to his immediate future. At this point, it seems like all but a forgone conclusion that Peterson’s Vikings career is over, but his NFL future is also hanging in the balance.

Albert Breer, of the NFL Network and a highly esteemed NFL reporter, has been sharing some details following a call with the Phil Grant of the Montgomery County DA office.

Based on the above information, things just don’t look great for Peterson’s immediate future. Also, Peterson also has the NFL disciplinary privileges to worry about. Roger Goodell has mentioned that Peterson would be looked at under the new Domestic Abuse Policy as opposed to the Personal Conduct Policy. Under that rule, Peterson would be looking at a six game suspension as a first-time offender.

This is likely far from over for the Vikings once heralded running back, and whether a trial is expedited or not, Adrian Peterson carrying a football in the NFL looks very far off in the distance.
