Bryce Harper unloaded on a pitch to tie Game 4 of the NLDS

The Washington Nationals are facing elimination in the NLDS tonight in Game 4 against the San Francisco Giants, and late in the game, they needed all the help they could get to avoid having to go home with a season-ending loss. Well, luckily for them, they have a Bryce Harper, something not everyone has.

Washington was down 2-1 in the top of the 7th inning and things were looking quite bleak from there. The Giants were carrying a lot of momentum as they search for a trip to the NLCS to take on the St. Louis Cardinals, who advanced earlier in the day.

However, all it took was one swing from Harper to crush that momentum, and a baseball into the waters of McCovey Cove.

Watch in the video below as Harper, with one the most beautiful swings you will ever see, just unloads on the pitch and ties the game, keeping his team’s hopes for a Game 5 alive.

Right off the bat you could tell that he got all of it, it was just a matter of the ball staying fair and the run counting. Ultimately it did and we got one of the more memorable home runs of these playoffs so far.
