The NBA officially returned on Sunday night when the new-look Cleveland Cavaliers defeated Maccabi Tel Aviv.
The action continued on Monday night and on Tuesday, 15 NBA teams (and Tel Aviv again) were in action.
One of those match ups involved a couple of Central Division teams, the Chicago Bulls and Detroit Pistons. Both teams have raised expectations this season. The Bulls believe they are legitimate title contender thanks to the health of Derrick Rose and the acquisition of Pau Gasol. The Detroit Pistons made a few smaller acquisitions, adding Jode Meeks, Aaron Gray, Caron Butler and D.J. Augustin (who played for the Chicago Bulls last season), but most importantly, they hired a new head coach and president in former Miami Heat and Orlando Magic head coach Stan Van Gundy.
One Chicago Bulls’ fan was obviously very excited about the NBA’s return – he was caught dancing and stopped once he realized he was on televison.
