The Cardinals are looking to prove their postseason mettle once again. This should be nothing new to baseball fans, as this team seems to step up time and time again during the MLB playoffs. The clutch home run they received from Kolten Wong on Monday night in their 3-1 victory over the Dodgers is just the latest proof that the Cardinals tend to get the job done this time of year.
Clayton Kershaw will start Game 4 for the Dodgers on short rest. “We’ve said it before,” Cardinals manager Mike Matheny said of facing Kershaw, via MLB.com. “We’ve got a lot of respect for him. What he’s done this season, you don’t turn a blind eye to. But it gets to the point of this time in the season, and you just have to have confidence in yourself and confidence in your teammates.”
The Cardinals will send young right-handed pitcher Shelby Miller to the mound opposite Kershaw for the Dodgers.
