The Miami Dolphins were very happy to see running back Knowshon Moreno return to practice yesterday, and are hopeful that he will return for their Week 6 game against the Green Bay Packers. Moreno is coming back from a dislocated elbow, and his status remains unclear for the game against Green Bay. Miami’s offense looked extremely dangerous with Moreno in the backfield, and it hasn’t been the same since he has been out with injury.

Moreno spoke about how it felt being back on the practice field, and Andrew Abramson of the Palm Beach Post passed along his comments.
"“It felt good to get out there on the field and just and just work out a little bit of the rust. I’m just taking it day by day, seeing how I feel the next couple of days and go from there.”"
Miami had Moreno in Week 1 of the NFL season, and he picked up 134 yards and a touchdown on 24 carries. He was one of the NFL’s best running backs last season with the Denver Broncos, but many believed that was because he had Peyton Manning as his quarterback. Moreno showed that Manning wasn’t the reason for his success in Week 1, and he is hoping to prove it even more once he comes back.
If he does indeed return against the Green Bay Packers, it would be a major help for the Dolphins who are going up against a Packers’ defense that has been forcing turnovers through the air. They may not be the best defense in the NFL, but they could make life very difficult for Ryan Tannehill if he doesn’t have any kind of a rushing attack. Moreno would add yet another weapon for Joe Philbin and the Dolphins to use, and would help open up the passing game a bit for Tannehill.
All of that being said, it will all depend on how Moreno progresses throughout the week of practice. He needs to be at 100 percent before Miami puts him back out on the field, and that might not be in time for this week. Only time will tell whether or not Moreno is able to make his return for the Dolphins in Week 6, but it’s good to see him back out on the practice field.
