Everything just seemed to be perfectly aligned on Tuesday night for the Los Angeles Dodgers to cruise to a win in Game 4 of the NLDS against the St. Louis Cardinals and force a decisive Game 5. Well, that was until Matt Adams decided that he wanted to completely ruin those plans.
Entering the bottom of the seventh inning, the Dodgers were up 2-0, and with their ace on the mound, life could not have been any better.
However, the worst possible sequence of events happened.
The Cardinals started it all off by getting two singles that just got right past the gloves of Dodgers defenders. Then, Adams came up to the plate, and well, this is where it gets nutty:
Yep. An absolute no-doubt blast off the bat of Adams has completely turned the world of the Dodgers upside down on Tuesday night, and now we have a whole different ballgame in St. Louis.
