The Nationals received outstanding pitching in Game 3 and then finally broke through with some offense late, thanks in large part to an error from Giants’ pitcher Madison Bumgarner. They will look to carry the momentum from their late victory Monday into action on Tuesday to change the course of this series.
“We’re going to go out there tomorrow and do what we need to do,” Nationals’ outfielder Bryce Harper said, via MLB.com, “and hopefully get some runs up there for Gio [Gonzalez] and get back to D.C. for Game 5.”
Gio Gonzalez will take the start for the Nationals. Ryan Vogelsong will take the mound for the Giants.
