San Diego Chargers (4-1) at Oakland Raiders (0-4)
Remember last week when the Chargers destroyed the New York Jets? Well, the Raiders are worse than the Jets by a substantial margin. That doesnāt mean the Raiders are going to lose by 50 points, but itās possible the Raiders could lose by 50 points.
San Diego is playing great football right now, and theyāre doing it by keeping their defense off the field as much as possible. The Chargers currently rank third in the league in time of possession at 34 minutes per game. That type of ball control on a game by game basis gives them a chance to win every football game. Itās not always pretty, and itās not always fun to watch, but it gets the job done and thatās all that matters.
While Mike McCoy and his coaching staff are doing an excellent job in San Diego, the Raiders have already fired their coach Dennis Allen and replaced him with Tony Sparano. If Sparano is the guy youāre going with to try to right the ship and turn this whole situation around, youāre completely lost as a franchise. Welcome to Oakland.
