Dallas Cowboys (4-1) at Seattle Seahawks (3-1)

This is the game of the week for me, and not just because I live in Seattle. The Cowboys have benefitted from a relatively weak schedule through the first five games of the season. Other than the 49ers, the Cowboys haven’t played anyone that I’m convinced is any good. In the last four weeks, the Cowboys have beaten the Titans, Rams, Saints, and Texans. Romo and co. needed a 21-point comeback win to beat the Rams. The Saints have proven they can’t stop anyone with a pulse from scoring. And, Ryan Fitzpatrick and the Texans aren’t that good either. This is a chance to see if Dallas actually is an improved, good football team, or if they’ve just played other slightly more terrible teams.

At the CLink against the Seahawks, Romo will have to establish the running game before taking shots down field. If the Cowboys can’t establish the running game, Richard Sherman, Cam Chancellor, and Earl Thomas can focus on coverage and the Seahawks defensive line will be foaming at the mouth trying to get to Romo. DeMarco Murray has to set the tone against the league’s best rushing defense allowing only 62.3 rushing yards per game.

Seattle is going to move the ball against Cowboys. Russell Wilson is too dynamic to be stopped for too long, as we saw against Washington on Monday Night Football. The Seahawks will have no problem wearing the Cowboys down over the course of the game with a combination of Wilson, Marshawn Lynch, Percy Harvin, and Robert Turbin taking turnsĀ in the running game.

Can Romo do the impossible and lead the ā€˜Boys to a win on the road in Seattle?
