Indianapolis Colts (3-2) at Houston Texans (3-2)

Could this be the fifth straight blowout on Thursday Night Football?

Tied for first place in the AFC South, the Colts and Texans meet for a chance at the division lead. I say “chance” because it’s still possible for the game to end in a tie.

The Colts should be heavily favored because they have an actual NFL offense that can score points. The Colts’ defense was a little shaky in the first two weeks of the season, but they’ve rebounded nicely in the last three weeks and seemed to have hit their stride. Indianapolis should be able to limit the Texans’ only real offensive weapon, Arian Foster, and bring the Texans’ molasses-in-winter-like offense. If they can stop Foster, the Colts should have no problem taking control of the AFC South.

This season, Andrew Luck has played as well as any quarterback, and T.Y. Hilton and Reggie Wayne will be tough match-ups with Houston’s banged up secondary.

For the Texans, Andre Johnson and DeAndre Hopkins need to be more involved in the offense. Johnson has yet to catch a touchdown pass and has killed my fantasy team this season doesn’t look interested. Hopkins has 11 catches for 127 yards in the last two games. That’s not bad, but for a player of with his skill set, he needs the ball more. Hopkins has only been targeted 12 times in the last two games, and he’s caught 11 of them. Ryan Fitzpatrick has to figure out a way to get him the ball.

If the Texans keep playing one-dimensional football and relying on their defense to bail them out, it’s going to be a tough remainder of the season.
