One young player the Miami Heat are excited about internally but isn’t getting any hype is forward James Ennis.
James Ennis was drafted by the Atlanta Hawks with the 50th-overall pick in the second round of the 2013 NBA Draft and was traded to the Heat. He spent his season playing in a few places but had a very successful stint in the D-League. James Ennis was named to the 2014 All-NBL first team and finished third in MVP voting
Now, he’s trying to show he can play on the NBA level.
James Ennis finished Tuesday night’s preseason game against the Orlando Magic with 14 points on six-of-11 shooting with 10 rebounds, five assists and a steal.

The Magic wound up defeating the Heat in overtime, 108-101. Niola Vucevic led the Magic with 16 points and six rebounds while Tobias Harris scored 15 points, grabbed seven rebounds and dished out three assists. Chris Bosh led the Heat with 18 points and nine rebounds. Newcomer Luol Deng also scored 18 points, grabbed six rebounds and dished out three assists
