It is the NBA preseason and that mean’s teams are traveling around the world preparing for the regular season. The San Antonio Spurs are currently in Europe, specifically Germany, for an exhibition game against Alba Berlin.
On these trips the team gets to visit the local sites and play tourist a bit, and for the Spurs that included visiting the Holocaust memorial. A lot of the players took pictures, as most tourists would, and Danny Green posted a selfie of himself at the memorial on Instagram.
“A lot of history here, more than you could imagine…very sad/tragic things happened #holocaust #berlin,” he wrote in the caption. Which is fine though a selfie at a memorial is a bit questionable in taste.
The real trouble came when he posted the same photo on Facebook where he decided to change up the caption for some reason.

The internet is never one to let something like this go without calling out the poster for their insensitivity and that was the same with this post. Green took to Twitter to apologize for the post and its insensitivity.
