After the New England Patriots were humiliated by the Kansas City Chiefs 41-14 last week, questions about quarterback Tom Brady’s future with the team came up. One report said there was a rift between Tom Brady and the Patriots
based on the Patriots’ personnel decisions on offense
.
Offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels has denied any rift, saying he and Tom Brady are “closer than ever.”
Tom Brady did the same.
“I love the Patriots,” Brady said in his weekly Monday night radio interview on Westwood One via Lee Schechter of ESPN Boston. “I always say it, and I say it time and time again, there is no place I’d rather play, there is no place I’d rather be. I play for the greatest owner and, to me, the greatest coach of all time.
“So, my family is in Boston. We’ve been such a part of this community and we love it. I just want to do the best job I can and the best job for my teammates, my coaches, for everybody that supports me. So that’s where my focus is and that’s where it always will be. So that’s how I feel about it.”
Obviously, Tom Brady isn’t asked for any trade. Although the Patriot haven’t won a Super Bowl since 2004, it is hard to imagine a much more successful tenure than Tom Brady’s with the Patriots.
This season Tom Brady has completed 104-of-172 passes for 1,083 yards with six touchdowns and two interceptions.
