We saw this past Monday night that, contrary to what some people may have thought, The Rock will not be disappearing for good anytime soon. As a matter of fact, he’s slated to be a focal point of WrestleMania 31 next spring. The only question is, who will he be facing off against?

Well, one name that apparently is being seriously talked about is that of Triple H getting in the ring against the Great One. According to a report from WrestleZone, citing the Wrestling Observer, this is a match that we very well could see next year out in California.

"WWE taped a backstage segment this week that will air this Friday on Smackdown featuring Triple H and The Rock. The segment was in celebration of the 15th Anniversary of Smackdown, but the two teased what would happen if they faced off again. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, there are at least preliminary discussions in place that would see Triple H and The Rock face off in the co-main event of WrestleMania 31."

As we all know, this would be the renewal of a pretty good rivalry that we saw during the Attitude Era when it was prominent and would be a nice piece of nostalgia for the event.

Also, having these two go against one another would mean that younger talent won’t have too big of a spotlight by faving one of them in a prominent match. They can ease their way into their WrestleMania moments.
