Washington Redskins vs. Arizona Cardinals
The Washington Redskins have become everyone’s new favorite underdog- they’ve lost their past three consecutive games, but have been on a slow and steady climb back to competitive play. They came dangerously close to closing the score gap against the Super Bowl favorites, Seattle, this Monday- and they’re heading to the home of a team they’re known for playing well against. Can the higher-ranked Cardinals improve on their current record against the Redskins, or will it be a long-awaited victory for Kirk Cousins?

Keys to Victory
Kirk Cousins has looked just fine in his past few games, stepping up admirably in the stead of yet another RGIII injury. (seriously, is that guy ever NOT injured?) He will need to continue playing as effectively as he has been, though, in order for this team to be able to pull off their first victory in a month.
The Arizona Cardinals, on the other hand, need to come into the game knowing that they’re the team some favor to lose. The point spread has them coming out ahead, but history has a nasty habit of repeating itself- should this game come down to getting into one anothers’ heads, the Redskins could easily walk away with the win.
Both teams have no guarantee of winning, and will need to play their absolute best in order to walk away with another victory. The Cardinals need to improve upon the aggression of their offense, and the Redskins need to look like they’re invested in the game from start to finish- not just once they’re down by two touchdowns.

Prediction
I don’t think that the Redskins can quite pull this one off, but I think they’ll get dangerously close. Regardless of who walks away with the victory, I can’t see it being by more than a kick- I’m inclined to believe that it will be Arizona who pulls through in the end, but no one should underestimate the sheer desperation of the Washington Redskins (or the speed of DeSean Jackson).
