New England Patriots at Buffalo Bills

When I first saw Patriots vs Bills my initial gut instinct said to take the Pats. However, as I looked at the match up a little closer I changed my mind. First off, the Bills play everyone tough at home, regardless of the match up. This looks like a bad match up for the Patriots when they have the ball lined up against the Bills defense. The Pats got back on track against the Bengals last week by running the football, but the Bills currently have the number two ranked defense against the run giving up just 71 yards per game and 3.0 yards per carry. Then when you factor in that they are tied for the league lead in sacks and New England is having offensive line troubles this looks like it could be another long game for Tom Brady and the Pats offense. I’ll take the Bills at home in a slight upset.

Carolina Panthers at Cincinnati Bengals

Just when most people were ready to crown the Bengals the class of the AFC they got beat down by the Patriots on Sunday night. The reason that happened was because the Pats ran the ball down their throats. Fortunately for the Bengals the Panthers can’t keep their running backs healthy and currently have the 30th ranked rushing attack with only 74.8 yards per game and 3.1 yards per carry. This should be a close game, but I’ll take the Bengals to win at home and get back on track after their setback last week.
