Michael Beasley has been known as a bust since being selected by the Miami Heat with No. 2 overall pick in the 2008 NBA Draft.

Michael Beasley also had probably off of the court which has hindered his ability to lock down a long-term contract. Michael Beasley returned to the Heat last season and had the most efficient year of his career. As a free agent this offseason, he was looking to cash in on his success. Instead he drew little interest on the open market and finally went to camp with the Memphis Grizzlies.

According to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports, Michael Beasley has left Memphis Grizzlies camp in order to sign with the Shanghai Sharks.

Plenty of players have gone over to China to make money. There is also usually enough time for a player to complete a season in China and then return to the United States in an attempt to make an NBA roster. This might be Michael Beasley’s best course of action.

Beasley put up 7.9 points and 3.1 rebounds per game in 55 games last season. He shot 49.9% from the floor, 38.9% from beyond the arc and 77.2% from the free throw line. Beasley has averaged 13.2 points, 4.9 rebounds and 1.3 assists per game while shooting 45.0% from the floor, 34.8% from three and 75.8% from the charity stripe in his six-year career career.
